About Dr Shaymaa’s Obousy

Dr. Shaymaa Obousy is a Consultant Psychiatrist specialising in General Adult Psychiatry and Neurodevelopmental Disorders. She holds an MBBS, an MA in Medical Law and Ethics, and is a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych, London).

Her clinical expertise includes Neurodevelopmental disorders, Eating Disorders, and Forensic Psychiatry. With international experience in the UK, Ireland, and New Zealand, Dr. Obousy is particularly focused on societal impacts on mental health, especially in First Nations Peoples. She advocates for culturally sensitive care and a holistic approach to complex mental health challenges.
